Until now, Dev Channel Insiders were testing 25000 series builds, and since you can’t install builds with a lower number, you’ll need to do a clean install to move from the Canary Channel to the new Dev Channel. The new Canary Channel now receives 25000 series builds while the rebooted Dev Channel receives 23000 series builds. Microsoft announced the new Canary channel earlier this week alongside a “reboot” of the Dev channel, and Insiders who were previously on the Dev Channel will be automatically moved to the Canary channel.
Microsoft has just released today the Windows 11 Insider build 2533 for Insiders in the new Canary and Dev channels.
